When trauma enters a relationship, it can create distance, conflict, and a sense of being stuck. I help couples rebuild connection—at a pace that feels safe for both of you.
Trauma doesn't stay inside one person—it ripples through the relationship. If you and your partner feel disconnected, caught in cycles of conflict, or unsure how to rebuild trust after trauma, you're in the right place.
When one or both partners have been affected by trauma, the relationship itself needs space to heal too.
Including survivors of sexual trauma, domestic violence, and military-related trauma seeking healing in their relationships.
Working with families navigating the ripple effects of trauma across generations and relationships.
Individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, or relational patterns connected to past trauma.
"Trauma doesn't just affect individuals; it can impact trust, communication, and emotional safety in relationships and families. Together, we focus on creating a safe, respectful space where healing can begin and meaningful change can occur."
I believe you are the expert in your own life and relationships. Rather than staying stuck in the problem, we work to identify what's already working—even in small ways.
13 years of experience with trauma survivors deeply informs a therapy space built on safety, trust, and moving at a pace that feels right for you.
You're not a passive recipient of treatment. We work together, building on your existing strengths and insights to create meaningful change.
While we honor your history, we work toward the future you want—building skills and patterns that move your relationship forward.
For couples who want to make significant progress in a concentrated period. Offered at beautiful beach locations in Virginia and South Carolina—or virtually from your home.
Explore Intensives →Whether you're an individual or a couple, whether you're ready or still figuring things out—reaching out is the first step. I'm here for it.
Trauma-informed couples and family therapist with a deep commitment to creating safety, trust, and meaningful change for individuals and relationships affected by trauma.
I hold both a Master's degree and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy, providing me with advanced clinical training in evidence-based approaches to relationship and family healing.
Prior to and alongside my clinical career, I spent 13 years supporting survivors of sexual trauma and domestic violence in a non-clinical advocacy role. This experience shaped my deep understanding of trauma's impact—not just on individuals, but on the relationships and families that surround them.
I am licensed in Colorado, South Carolina, and Virginia, and I offer both in-person and telehealth services to clients in all three states.
I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relational challenges, and other symptoms connected to trauma. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in patterns—whether that's emotional distance, conflict, or difficulty trusting themselves or others.
My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and solution-focused. Together, we focus on creating a safe, respectful space where healing can begin and meaningful change can occur.
I recognize the importance of safety, trust, and moving at a pace that feels right for you. If you're ready to begin healing—individually or within your relationship—you're in the right place.
Helping couples rebuild trust, communication, and connection when one or both partners carry the weight of past trauma.
With 13 years in advocacy, I bring deep, nuanced understanding of sexual trauma and its impact on identity and relationships.
Supporting survivors in rebuilding safety, self-trust, and healthy relationship patterns after abusive experiences.
Treating anxiety and depression—particularly when connected to relational dynamics or trauma histories.
Working with families to improve communication, repair relationships, and break cycles that no longer serve them.
Providing age-appropriate, trauma-informed support for teens navigating anxiety, depression, identity, and relationships.

Get in TouchTrauma-informed, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families—available in-person and via telehealth.
Trauma—whether sexual violence, domestic violence, childhood adversity, or other experiences—doesn't stay in the past. It shows up in how we connect, argue, trust, and love. When one or both partners carry trauma, the relationship itself needs to be part of the healing process.
In couples therapy, we work to create a space where both partners feel safe, heard, and respected. Together, we address the ways trauma has shaped your patterns of interaction and build new ways of connecting that support both individual healing and relational health.
Common concerns we address include emotional distance and disconnection, communication breakdown, trust and jealousy, intimacy difficulties, conflict cycles, and the impact of one partner's trauma on both people.
A 15-20 minute call to discuss your situation and answer your questions—no obligation.
We take time to understand your full picture—individually and as a couple—before diving into goals.
We work together using a strength-based, solution-focused approach tailored to your pace and needs.
Sessions are typically weekly or biweekly, with flexibility as your healing progresses.

I draw from a range of evidence-based models in Marriage and Family Therapy, always tailoring the approach to the individual couple or family in front of me. My doctoral-level training and 13+ years of trauma advocacy experience inform a practice that is both clinically rigorous and deeply human.
Central to my approach is the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I don't impose a path—I walk alongside you as we identify your strengths and build toward the changes you want to see.
Every session is guided by an understanding of how trauma affects the nervous system, trust, and relational patterns.
We identify and build on what's already working, even when the challenges feel overwhelming.
While we honor the past, we move intentionally toward the future you want to create together.
Healing isn't linear and it shouldn't be rushed. We always move at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
Immersive, focused therapy experiences for couples ready to make meaningful progress in a concentrated period of time.
A 2-day intensive is a concentrated therapy experience designed for couples who want to make significant breakthroughs in a short time. Rather than spreading work across months of weekly sessions, an intensive allows us to go deeper, move further, and create more sustained momentum.
Intensives are particularly powerful for couples where trauma is a factor—where the pace of traditional weekly therapy can feel too slow, or where deeper wounds need the space and time that concentrated work provides.
Each intensive is custom-designed to your specific relationship, goals, and needs. We'll do preparatory work before we meet and have support resources for after, ensuring that the progress we make together continues to grow.
Intensives are available at coastal locations in Virginia and South Carolina, or conducted virtually from the comfort of your own space.
Experience your intensive alongside the serene backdrop of Virginia's coastline—a setting that naturally supports opening up, slowing down, and healing.
The warm, unhurried pace of South Carolina's beaches provides a restorative setting for the deep work of relationship healing.
The full power of the intensive experience delivered securely via telehealth—accessible from anywhere in Colorado, Virginia, or South Carolina.
Contact me to discuss whether an intensive is right for your situation. We'll have a consultation call to assess your goals and determine the right format and location.
Before we meet, you'll complete intake materials and we may have preparatory sessions to ensure we hit the ground running on Day 1.
Across two full days, we engage in focused, immersive therapy sessions. The schedule is built around your energy and needs—with breaks for processing, rest, and reflection.
After the intensive, we schedule follow-up support sessions to help you integrate the work, sustain momentum, and continue growing.
Intensives book quickly and require advance planning. Reach out today to discuss availability, pricing, and whether an intensive is the right next step for your relationship.
